    Early Childhood and School Age Enrichment Program

South Dakota's Early Childhood and School Age Enrichment (ECSE) Program promotes the health, safety and development of young children in early childhood and school age programs.  ECSE provides ongoing training and technical assistance to adults who are involved in day-to-day care of young children.  Early detection, intervention and prevention services are provided to children in early childhood programs to promote "healthy" children.

ECSE programs were established to meet growing demands for early childhood training and to help recruit and retain quality child care providers across South Dakota.  ECSE offers services to support child care providers, teachers and others involved in early care and education.

Services Provided:

•     Training and technical assistance to child care professionals.
•     On site consultations to child care programs
•     Telephone consultations
•     On site Vision and Hearing screenings   
•     Resources for parents and professionals on current issues

The Family Resource Network represents Region 4:
